Easter!

First, off a weight loss update. Just for my journal keeping. It hasn't changed from four pounds. We have been a little distracted by life. I have still been going to the gym and counting calories, just not regularly. I am just glad I haven't gained any back, so this week with Easter passed we shall start fresh and hope we can add to that four pounds.

Our garden is slowly coming up. We are starting to get some buds on our pepper and tomato plants. Our raspberry hasn't done anything. I haven't really looked it up yet so it may not be in season yet. If anyone knows anything about raspberries let me know.

We had a wonderful three day weekend with Chris. Friday we tried to get errands and chores done and then went to our ward Easter egg hunt. The kids got plenty of candy and I almost waived our own home hunt because of it, but don't worry I am not that mean. So Saturday we just enjoyed our time hanging out together and the kids finished off their candy from Friday. Chris also fixed up Benny's big boy bike and took him down the street on a bike ride. First time on training wheels and he did super!

After the kids finally fell into their sugar induced comas, the Easter Bunny got to work. It is fun trying to find the right degree of difficulty for each kid to find their baskets. Benny can obviously search a little harder, but usually just stands in the middle of the room going asking where where.

Caleb found his first under the ET center and so naturally Benny assumed his would be in the same place.

Alas his was right over his head the whole time.

Joshua found his in his favorite place to find disgusting things to chew on.

Then we quickly headed out in the yard to see if the Easter Bunny hid any eggs for us, before the rain started.

Wow did he do a good job this year, twenty-three eggs and all candy filled. Benjamin and Caleb did a good job finding all of them very quickly, and were even faster at eating the candy.

They both got their own bubble guns, so while daddy made breakfast to break up the sugar high, we washed the kitchen table.

We had our traditional Tilapia for Easter dinner and it was delicious. It was Parmesan crusted with a Pico De Gallo over the top. Delicious!

The only downer was that Joshua started running fever and we had to spend a lot of time in the rocking chair, but I love when he will actually let me hold him.

That night before bed we decided to have a dance party. Chris showed the kids some of his moves. HA HA!

Oh yeah and Joshua is finally walking. It has been a slow process. A couple of months ago he took his first steps. But it has taken the last two months for him to slowly take a few more at a time.

Finally yesterday he decided it was okay to walk across a room. YAY! now I can cut out one of my gym memberships. For those who don't know. We bought a family membership at this community center where we could use the pool in the summers. It is extremely cheap compared to most gym's. Unfortunately they won't take kids in the child care till they are walking. We went ahead and bought it in July of last year for the swimming and we tried working out at times when Chris could keep Josh, but after school started my workout time got more scarce, and Josh was no where near walking, so I broke down and bought a membership at the gym down the road where they would take babies. So I have been paying for two memberships the last three months waiting on my kid to get up and go. Anyway, It seems stupid , but I was really starting to put on more weight and it was a necessary evil. But now I can check that off my list YAY For Joshua!
