St Patty's and more

This past weekend we went to the Draper Temple. It was amazing. For all who had a chance to see it I told Chris he is buying me one of those chandeliers. But seriously it was a lot of fun taking my kids through it. I was surprised at how much Benny knew already. What a smart kid.

Our family in the reception area.

I also made a traditional corned beef dinner for St. Patty's Day. It was really fun and I have to say for my first time it was really good.

Isn't it yummy looking.

Here are my kids enjoying it.

Caleb looking surprised that he likes it.

Benny in his green PJs for the occasion.

Also I noticed that Joshua has the cutest dimples in his cheeks, elbows, and knees. At first I thought that they were because he was so chubby but the more I look at them I think they are real dimples here to stay. They are there even when his limbs are bent. Tell me what you think.

Joshua is Two Months

So I took Joshua in for his two month check up and I couldn't believe how much he weighed.
13lbs. and 8ozs. He is 24" long. Wow he is growing sooo fast. And what a good baby. He sleeps at least six hours between feedings at night. He also loves to sit in his bouncy seat and kick at his toys. He loves getting his diaper changed and smiles like crazy while I am doing it. I can't get enough of all his pretty hair and we are still deciding what color it is. It has a little gold and red and brown. Our family is so blessed to have him in our lives. Benny and Cal just love to bounce him and hug on him. Sometimes I think he gets a little overwhelmed by their affection. Here are some cute shots I got of him recently. He really loves to be all bundles up or swaddled.

The Travesty that is Twilight

Well this weekend I finally gave in and went to see Twilight. In my defense it was in the dollar theater and Chris said he promised he would keep his mouth shut and not make any comments. Well about a fourth of the way through the movie I turned to Chris and said "I am so proud of you for not making any comments. I know this has been a serious trial for you. I now give you permission to comment away, because this is the crappiest movie I have ever seen." It was horrible. I can't believe that the author a proved of this film. She must have been hard up for some serious cash. The acting was horrid. The cinematography was even worse and Edward oh my gosh did they seriously have to show so many profile pictures of him...ugh. They couldn't even remember to shave his chest. Does the phrase "smooth like marble" not mean what I think it does. On top of that Bella was so annoying. Her lack of vocabulary. The hospital scene reminded me of some Rascal Flats obsessed fan who has just been asked to throw away all her posters. Oh and don't get me started on Carlisle. Does he seriously not have the money to get those teeth fixed. Could anyone else tell that Jacob was wearing a horrible wig. I Couldn't help but join in with the audience as they laughed at the whole movie. I guess I should be grateful that this proves one thing. I am not attracted to seventeen year old prepubescent boys. One thing it did was actually make me want to reread the books. If you have not seen the movie yet but loved the books, I beg you don't ruin your enjoyment of the book series by exposing your imagination to this travesty. It saddens me that Hollywood would put out such a disgrace in order to make a buck off of these fans. But who's fault is it really, the greedy movie producers or us pathetic fans who would pay to see this movie. Maybe the movie producers are actually onto something. I know I would take the money. We as Americans need to make a stand. The crappy movies have got to stop. Boycott your movie theatres everywhere. Show them we are not going to stand for crappy acting, disastrous cinematography, and laughable dialogue. We refuse to watch movies about Sean Penn making out with another man. Really is that Oscar worthy. Cause I could snog a woman for a million dollars too. For the love of everything this country was built upon. We deserve better. After all we are bloody fricken America. We have a Black President.

Crazy life

Well A lot has gone on this last month. I said goodbye to my momma after spending three wonderful weeks with her. It was hard to see her go, but at least I didn't have the feeling that I didn't get enough time with her. Also Tia and Annabelle came to visit. They were so fun to have and such good sports about my crying toddler and new born at night. Your right we totally forgot to take any pictures Tia. Plus Chris got the flu while they were here. Hopefully we quarantined him enough. A few times he couldn't take being left out and took over the couch but mostly he was a good sport. Also Joshua is sleeping longer through the night yeah. So here are just some cute shots I have gotten recently.
