Emma
Yesterday was my beautiful neice Emmas's seventh birthday. Sorry I didn't post this yesterday girl, but I was travelng. I hope you had a great birthday. I would like to say how thankful I am to have you in our life. You are such a sweet little girl. Thanks for being a big help to your mommy and daddy. Thanks for trying so hard to learn your lessons for school. I know how much you love being able to read to your siblings. Your mom and Uncle Isaiah used to love for me to read to them to when I was your age. Keep up the good work. We miss you so much especially all your questions. You are beautiful and smart and sweet and kind, pretty much the whole package.

Three Boys in a Row
I am thankful for hand-me down clothes that are made sturdy enough to last through three very busy boys. I always get so stressed out at season changes, cause I start thinking of all the new clothes I am going to have to buy for the kids. But then I dive into my storage trunks and usually find that I have saved plenty of clothes for Caleb and Joshua at least, sometimes I have some hand me downs in there for Benny too. Every year I hate having to reorganize all the clothes and sort through everything, but it pays off in the end when I budget how much we spent on clothes. And it is really cute to see each kid in some of my favorite outfits. Most the time the ones I thought were cute on Benny aren't the same ones I like on Caleb or Joshua. They each have their little personalities that match certain things they wear. I never really wanted a girl. Not because I don't ever want one or I don't like girls or what ever. I have just always wanted my babies to be boys and maybe this is the reason cause I am grateful that I don't have to buy clothes for two different sexes each year. Just another way I can keep our student loans under a quarter of a mill. hehehe ohh wait. I know that sounds like a lot but that is stretched over nine years. Most med students acquire that over the four years of med school alone. So if you look at it comparatively I think I am a pretty good saver...right...right:(.

Fort Hood
Well yesterday was super busy, so I will have to post two things today. I am thankful for after Halloween clearance sales. We made out on dress-up super hero costumes, four for twenty, and some to put away for Christmas.
I am thankful for our medical response teams. Yesterday was a very scary day. I have been hearing about shootings all over the place for a few years now, but yesterday it was way too close to home. We live ten minutes from Fort Hood where a man killed 12 people and wounded thirty-one others. The hospital where Chris goes to school was on lock-down since that is where they took some of the victims. A man in our ward that Chris home teaches worked in the same building as the shooting. Miraculously he was sitting in his car having lunch when it happened and was protected from the violence.I know the lord was there that afternoon. I am so grateful that people there were prepared and quick to response. It could have been a lot worse, if there had been panic. Gives me confidence in our soldier and emergency response training. Keep praying for the families of these victims. The holidays are going to be difficult for their families and friends.

I am thankful for beautiful days at the park
After days of rain it has been really nice here and we are finally getting in some use of our park right down the road and others near by. Thank you city of Temple for the parks especially the giant rocket ship that Benny plays so many imaginary games on.

Day 2
I am thankful for medicine and doctors who care about even the smallest patients. Joshua was absolutely miserable this last week. Thank you amoxicillan for making him my happy little chub again. Also, Lucy was moaning like a banchee and limping around the other morning. I mean the moaning was so loud and steady I thought her insides must be rotting or something. Chris and I thought she was on her death bed, so we took her to the vet. Well, thankfully it was JUST A BUG BITE between her toes. WHAT A WEENIE. Yeah, she is a lab, but for now on she is my weenie dog. The vet gave her some benadryl and she was back to her normal crazy self. Thank you Vets for helping my poor weenie dog.

Thanksgiving
I am going to try something crazy this month and write something I am thankful for everyday. Sorry if you get this as an email cause you are going to get tired of me. We will see how I do. Today I am thankful for candy. It is a nice replacement for studying husbands if you eat it in moderation (which I do not). I am thankful for this song cause my honey sounds so good singing it. I thought it was him on the recording he got to help him learn it and if your wife gets confused it must mean you sound good (or your wife is ton deaf). It is the first one on my play list. Not the second one. All though I still crack up every time I hear Adam Sandler sing this. Anyway, please post what you guys are thankful for in my comment section.
