Happy Birthday to Caleb

We celebrated Caleb's 2nd birthday a week early so all his cousins could come. He didn't really have any clue what was going on.

Benny had fun helping him open his presents though.

He got some puzzles from Nona and Grandad, a harmonica from Grandma and Grandpa, and a basketball goal from me and Chris. I really think he will have fun playing with all of it.

He is much more into music and puzzles than Benny. We knew he would love the B-ball cause before we left Utah our neighbors put up a little goal and I couldn't keep him out of their yard. We picked up some pound cakes from Janies cakes in Tyler. They are the best cakes. We aren't big cake people, but they are really good.

After the party we went to my mom's to pop fireworks she had saved from the fourth.

Yes those are my boys afraid of the popping. And that is Esther with the pixie haircut. Her and her cousin Mallory decided to play beauty parlor. It is funny how much her and Benny look alike now. I think it is really cute on her.
We packed up the next day and headed back home, leaving my sweet Benny in Tyler to spend a week with his Nona. I think I was having a harder time than him leaving. I kept hoping he would start crying so I could turn around and get him, but with a mouth full of cereal and a hand full of poppers, he waved goodbye without a tear and was off playing before we got out of the driveway. Oh well, that's what I get for having boys. I better get used to it.

We are so glad to have Caleb in our family. He is our little monkey and follows Benny everywhere trying to be just like him. Yet he still manages to be totally his own person. He loves to swing and watch the trees. He loves to cuddle, but only when he is tired. Any other time he is on the go with stuff to do. His vocabulary is slowly increasing but he knows what he wants. I can't get enough of those big blue eyes. Chris says they are so big you can hear him blinking. We love you Caliboo!!

Movers...definitely

A list of things damaged or broken in the move.
1. toy box
2. two bookshelves
3. dresser
4. Tiffany lamp shade
5. mirror on my piano
6. desktop computer
7. kids bunk beds
8. entertainment center
Fortunately most were able to be repaired by my very handy hubby. The mirror on my piano was not, which is what I am most sad about. the computer is still being debated. So far it has only cost fifty bucks. It still is not working perfect. If there are any computer techs that want to offer some free advice let me know. If we can't fix it for less than a couple hundred we will be going with a MAC.
Next week we will be in Tyler all week for a mini vaca before Chris starts Medical school. Anybody who wants to come to my mom's or Chris' mom's just get in touch. We would love to see everyone. we will be spending the days swimming in the pool and playing outside. We may make a couple trips to the Dallas area. Other than that just relaxing. It will be the last time Benny and Esther Girl get to hangout. Our house is finally unpacked and we are loving all the extra space. I am getting to know Temple and it is a pretty nice town. The public Library isn't as nice as Provo's and is actually kind of disappointing, but it will do. I hope when I start to home school that I will be able to find the reading materials I need. Oh well other than that we love it and are getting reacquainted with the Texas heat. I don't sweat as much as I was the first week. Chris has met some of the staff at the school and everyone has been so nice and accommodating. Our ward is full of other Med students and residents who are all very nice and helpful. It is nice to have others who know the game plan around. I know he is going to love it.

Movers...next time...

We are currently in the process of moving to Texas. Our plan was to loud up the truck this morning and then clean all day so we could just hang out for the fourth. We planned to sleep on a big pallet in our living room for two nights, then head out Sunday morning followed by Hannah and her kids.
Thus far we succeeded in loading the truck, getting most of the house clean, and shampooing the carpets. As for sleeping on that fun pallet in our house with our kids...well lets just say I am writing this from the local Best Western. After hours of scrubbing, mopping, wiping, and dusting we decided we were too fat and old. So after some soaking in the hot tub and downing some pain killers we are snug in our comfortable beds.
We have weighed the pros and cons and decided that for a thousand extra bucks we could have hired movers and it would have been totally worth it. We had our wonderful Elders Quorum come and help load the truck and we're grateful for all the guys that showed(plus some from Chris's work). As they say though "Elders Quorum Moving Company, You buy it, we'll break it". So two broken legs on our toy chest and one smashed in light switch later we have learned to appreciate Professionals. God Bless our EQ. We are really going to miss those guys. Chris was EQ President and so we really got to know the families. They are all such hardworking and loving people, who dedicate their lives to Heavenly Father. We wish you all the best in the future.
On Sunday the fifth we will start our journey to Texas. We will stay the first night in Farmington New Mexico with friends, then the next in Amarillo with Chris's Grandma. Then in to Tyler for a night. Finally we will make it to Temple on Wednesday. There will we stay for the next four years...hallelujah!!
Sorry I packed the piece to my camera for transferring pictures so I will post when we get settled and get our internet hooked up.

In other news I took the boys in for check-ups yesterday. Benjamin weighed in at 34lbs, Caleb at 23lbs, and Joshua at a whopping 19lbs.; making him only four pounds lighter than Caleb. No wonder my arm hurts. He has started sitting all buy himself and sleeping eleven hours a night. Caleb has proven that he is going to be our daredevil. In the last few days he has run into the street, face planted on our arm chair (busting his teeth through his lip), rolled down our stairs and jumped into a swimming pool on his own( where he struggled face down for ten seconds till we got to him). Luckily Chris and I are aware of his fearlessness and are always two steps behind him and at least one eye on him all the time. Benjamin has mastered his tricycle and is ready to move onto the big boy bike with training wheels. He has also figured out from the lady on our GPS which way is left and which is right. I can't get enough of these guys.
