Christmas was crazy busy. We started off by having our 3/8 of the way done party for Chris, on December 17. We had a lot of fun with other medical students and their families. We had enchiladas and rice and talked about the crazy schedule we are going to have while they study for the STEP this summer.
That weekend we scrubbed and cleaned the house and headed out on Tuesday for Christmas in Tyler with family. Chris's brother and his wife came down from SLC and Grandma Lois came from Amarillo.
We spent Wednesday just hanging out and doing some last minute shopping. That evening we decorated gingerbread houses.

Thursday, the girls took Pam out for her Christmas present from all of us. We got pedicures and went to lunch and then watched a chick flick at my Mom's while the guys took care of the kids. It was a lot of fun to just have some girl time. I think it was a great Christmas present for Pam,especially since I got so much enjoyment out of it too, LOL.
Friday, we had our traditional Christmas Eve lasagna dinner and had fun singing Christmas songs and watching Mr. Krueger's Christmas. The kids got to open up their Christmas pajamas from Nona. It didn't go as well as planned. This was the first year that Pam did this and I thin kthey were expecting something a little cooler than PJs. HA! Well after a lot of tears and crying we did manage to get them in the pajamas and by the time we got back over to my Mom's for bed time, they decided they liked them and showed them off to Grandma. Next year will probably be better, since they will be expecting pajamas. It was pretty hilarious. I wish I had gotten a picture of their faces. They were classic.
Christmas morning we woke up and opened presents

with Grandma and Grandpa Bamburg.

we also got to see my nephew Xander open his first Christmas presents. What a cutie.

His Mom was smart and got him a remote. We let the kids play with their new toys and had a delicious breakfast.

Then we headed back over to Nona and Grandad's for some more presents and Christmas dinner later that day.

It was definitely a busy day. I would definitely not want to do this every year, but it is fun to get to be with so much family every now and then. Maybe next time we can plan the family reunion over a less kid crazy holiday. The kids had a blast and got way to many presents. Mommy and Daddy were tired, but also got some really awesome gifts.
Benjamin and Caleb pretty much liked everything they got from Santa, especially the pillowpets and the spidermen.

Joshua was happiest carrying around the basketball Grandma Lois got him.

Chris really enjoyed the BYU tie and the waffle maker, and of course the money.

I had fun with my mystery games and picking out some Texas size jewelry at Sam Moon's in Dallas.
Sunday was Pam's birthday, so we made her some apple cupcakes for the school teacher in her and played skip-bo.

Monday we headed to Dallas to shop and attend the Temple with Chris's family. My mom kept the boys and we stayed in a hotel over night. Monday we did some shopping at the Galleria and enjoyed the hotel's indoor pool.
Tuesday we spent in the Dallas temple. It was such a wonderful spiritual day and I was so glad to be able to get some work done for some of John's family. Then we did a little more shopping. I got to visit Sam Moon's for the first time ever and I am in love. I will be back. I got to stop by and visit my Grandma on the way back to Tyler. She is 87 years old and I know that her time here with us is getting short, so it is always a treat to get to sit with her for a few minutes and let her know how much I love her.
Wednesday we headed home sweet home. We spent the rest of the week and New Year's eve just relaxing, watching movies, playing games and enjoying our last few days together as a family before school started for Chris again.

My New Years resolutions are:
1. As usual I want to hit the gym again and loose some more weight. I lost about 10 pounds before Thanksgiving, strep throat and Christmas hit our family, but I quit a bit more to lose.
2. Be more feminine. I have found that since I am surrounded by boys I forget to make sure that I am still a girl. I mean I still dress up for church and dates, but it was the bare minimum. So I am trying to wear a little more jewelry and spend a little more time on my hair and make-up.
3. Make healthier meals. I also found out I have gall stones over Christmas. So I gotta cut back on my fat intake if I want to have any more kids. And I definitely do.
4. Visit the temple at least every other month. I only made it twice this entire year, and that is not enough. I need to make more of an effort to go with the ward each month.
Overall we had a great Christmas and hope all of our friends had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

You little houses are so cute! Christmas looks like you had a blast. I too have been trying to be more feminine. I just quit wearing make-up all together. So I have been putting some effort in to actually wear some.
